General

A new security key system driver (v5.41.1) allows the user to manually activate the parallel port when not automatically recognized on Windows XP systems. Security key messages have been enhanced, and the new Sentinel Medic program allows users to diagnose security key problems.

Spectrum and Spectrogram calculation has been added to the browser context menu for T buffers.

DIRLIST allows the user to limit the file list to a specified file extension, such as *.wav.

Analysis

The Event Detector more efficiently rejects short non-events (< MINPLEN), nearly doubling execution speed on noisy source material. For example, the new ED detected and stored 1270 sound events from a 31-minute source file in 3.5 minutes on a P-III/650, about 9X real-time. Note: detected events may start slightly later and end slightly earlier (10-20 msec in tests) than before this change.

Graphics

BITMAP supports 1, 4, 8, 16, 24,and 32-bit color displays. BITMAP output files are accepted by Photoshop (as well as Paint & PaintShop).

The WSIZ parameter sets graph window size directly in pixels for consistent screen captures with BITMAP.

The GTFTSCAL parameter sets the vertical height of the spectrogram in the GT FT display.

LAYOUT OFF and LAYOUT ON commands remove and restore layout grid lines.

Programming

RADIOBOX and LISTBOX allow the user to specify the initial button or initial list item selected, respectively.
